Enduring City (2023) is a personal journey through the streets of Athens by photographer John Vlahakis.  A four year personal project that reveals the modern and ancient day to day existence of today’s Athenians.  The collective cohesion of his black and white street photography lend themselves to capturing an Athens that highlights the city’s gifts to the past, and to its modern vibrancy as one of the great cities of the world.  Past and present meet to create a visual social documentary.
